Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of EscapeFinder. By using the website you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
About EscapeFinder
EscapeFinder is an independent discovery and directory service for escape-room experiences. Unless expressly stated otherwise, EscapeFinder is not the operator of the games listed and is not a party to bookings made with third-party operators.
Directory information
We work to make listings useful and accurate, including by recording when information was researched or verified. Escape-room details can nevertheless change without notice. Prices, availability, age restrictions, accessibility, player numbers, opening status and other operational details should be confirmed with the relevant operator before travelling or booking.
Bookings and third-party services
Links to operator websites, booking systems, maps and other third-party services are provided for convenience. Any booking, payment, cancellation, refund or participation contract is normally between you and the relevant third party and is subject to that party's terms. EscapeFinder is not responsible for the availability, security or content of third-party services.
Reviews and user submissions
If you submit a review, correction, claim request or other content, you must provide content you are entitled to provide and must not knowingly submit unlawful, defamatory, misleading, abusive, infringing or fraudulent material. We may moderate, reject, remove or retain submissions where reasonably necessary to operate the service. Submitting content gives EscapeFinder permission to store, reproduce and display it as necessary to provide and promote the relevant service, without transferring ownership of your original content to us.
Business listings and claims
A listing appearing on EscapeFinder does not imply endorsement, partnership or ownership. Claiming a listing does not transfer ownership of EscapeFinder's directory records, research, taxonomy, analytics or editorial material. We may require reasonable evidence that a claimant is authorised to act for the relevant business.
Intellectual property
EscapeFinder's website design, original editorial content, taxonomy, software, branding and original compilations are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names, trade marks, photographs and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing on the site grants rights in a third party's intellectual property.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, submit malicious material, use automated activity that unreasonably burdens the service, or use EscapeFinder in a way that infringes the rights of others. Normal search-engine crawling and reasonable linking are not prohibited by this clause.
Availability and liability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every listing will always be complete or current. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law. Subject to those rights, EscapeFinder is not responsible for losses arising solely from a third-party operator's service, a third-party website, or information that changed after our latest reasonable verification.
Changes
We may update the website and these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdictional protections that apply to you elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page. Before public launch, the formal business/operator details should also be added to this page.
